Back to Reality

Hello dear friends! I'm excited to say that this is my first post from Paraguay! How crazy! This past week has been all about accommodating and adjusting. We are 4 hours ahead from Utah, so this has probably been the biggest adjustment, specially for Camila. But little by little we're getting there. The place is beautiful, full of green and many other colors, I've been dying to go around taking pictures of everything!
Since I had a very different week last week, I couldn't take many pictures so I got way behind. So I decided to just skip that week and start fresh with this week. In a way I don't really like that because I really want to have 365 pictures, but I didn't want to stress too much about it and give up on the challenge. I decided then, that I can keep the themes in mind, and if I happen to be inspired by something one day, I can have two pictures that day. No pressure, no stress, haha.

So here are the pictures from today and yesterday :)

Feb. 2: Mail
Since I don't get any mail here yet, I decided to take the picture of the mail box. I then realized that they don't have a mail box like the traditional ones, so that made it even more interesting. A little box attached to their gate.

Feb. 3: Water

I'm so excited about this picture! First, when I saw that today was going to be water, I had it all planed out, take a picture of the pool with someone swimming, it was going to be great! Then, I wake up and guess what...it was raining. No pretty sunny day for me to take a picture of the pool :( So I went around the house trying to find something but nothing really was coming. I decided then to look at the pictures people had taken already from this challenge and got a little more inspired. I realized that I could use the water that had fallen already from the rain. So there I go again outside looking for something and I found this big leaf with water in it. I took many pictures of different angles and was loving all of them. Then I got distracted by a very cool plant (I'll post the picture of it one day) and started taking pictures of it, but the wind blew and I thought that it would be cool to have the water moving, so I went back to the leaf with water and took a quick picture. When I looked at the camera to see the picture, I couldn't believe what I had!!!! The reflection of the tree on the water, of course! Until now I look and I think that it looks like a set up, but it's not, I promise! It was just a matter of focusing on the right spot. Doesn't it look so cool??
